Necessity dictates I must use a PC for my daily computer tasks and occasionally I wander over to my lonely emac who sprightly springs to life and loads the OS extremely quickly (for a 5 year old machine), do some surfing and manage some mp3 files.
Desperation set in and I stumbled upon the Mac emulation FlyaKiteOSX and I thought wow I am going to try this. downloading the program, grabbing the latest RK Launcher I set about installing the program. Very quickly I have the look and feel of the Mac OS X, I was wrapt....
Within a week i started to notice that it could not handle many programs being open at once as well as i was receiving a error about windows being low on memory several times...
Today the machine come to a grind as i was trying to install a new wireless router, frustrated after several attempts at not being able to complete the setup, I threw my hat down in frustration and bit the bullet and uninstalled "FlyaKiteOSX".......
GROAN... not a good idea.. oh it all seemed ok and un-installed rather easily, until it rebooted at the end and deleted the default user (where Flyakiteosx was installed) from the login menu and made the only remaining user on the computer, the default user andtook away the login prompt and logged automatically into this user without password prompt....
all is not lost... the files were still there and a copy of the files to the new user saw my computer back into action.. but not before alot of frustration
be careful if you use flyakite because you just may need to, in order to reduce your stress...
